The CD (Compact Disc) on Training Modules on Ageing Women covers a wide range of topics such as concept of ‘ageing’ and ‘feminization of ageing,’ demography of older population globally and in India. The modules also cover nutrition, health and health care of ageing women with a portion dealing with herbal medicines. One module especially deals with different types of living arrangements and importance of  family care and support for this age group.

Inter-generational relationship, socio-economic status, legal provisions for ageing women and special concerns of widowed, divorced, deserted and never married women are also discussed in the modules.

In order to illustrate that ageing women are a valuable resource to their families, communities and to the society at large, profiles of carefully selected urban and rural women have been prepared to showcase their contribution in different fields ranging from education, health, development of women to performing arts, industry and politics. These modules provide substantial content, methods and material to those individuals and organizations who wish to work with this vulnerable group of human population i.e. ageing persons with a special focus on ageing women.
