A Manual on Gender Sensitive Indicators for Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Programmes in India |

This manual assists programme managers to assess the integration of gender sensitivity at the programme level and to monitor the subsequent changes at the community level. Gender integration in the health sector is recognised as a critical need at the national and international level. This manual addresses the need to develop gender sensitive indicators to measure the gender sensitivity in health programmes. The usefulness of gender indicators lies in their ability to assess changes in the status and roles of women and men and thus measure whether gender equality is being achieved. A total of 190 indicators including input, process, out come and impact have been included in the manual.
