What are the problems faced and gaps in providing health service in the focus areas?
Equitable access to health services is a fundamental principle of service delivery, but this cannot be achieved unless there is a strategy in place to reach the most underserved communities living in difficult to reach areas.
Reaching last mile populations remains a persistent challenge. Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) is a proven strategy to facilitate access to public health care particularly to people living in remote, difficult, under-served and unreached areas. It is one of the key strategies under the NRHM.
